The beginning of the walk at Ginkakuji-michi. We followed the guide provided by Japan National Tourism Organization.
There are lots of stores (food & gifts) at the starting point of the walk. I got myself a yummy matcha-pie (green-tea pie) at this place :D
This is the nice lady who was tending the matcha-pie shop, she was posing for me after i asked her permission for photo, but i told her to 'continue working' instead so i could get more 'natural' shots XD
And there are always alternatives to walking..

Tiny torii such as this were observed to be placed outside the house. Any idea about their significant?
